Introduction & Course Overview
The Two-Dimensional Design galleries exhibit project workby students studying at Lakeland University, Japan. The Two-Dimensional Design course is an introductory course in design which incorporates the art elements. The students learn about and investigate many areas of design using various mediums which is expected to emphasize their creativity and craftsmanship.
The course offers a variety of projects which include areas such as contour line drawing, expressive line drawing, negative space drawing, creating continuity in character designs, poster, and book cover designs. Whilst artmaking, the students are encouraged to consider employing design principles of pictorial organization such as harmony, balance, and movement.
We hope you enjoy viewing the galleries and you feel the exhibited project work encapsulates the elements and principles of design.
